This report, however, was proven untrue. Yet recent reports disclosed that Anti-Muslim groups, known as the Shepherds and the Ilaga militia were killed in action. These groups are no civilians; they are vigilante groups who want to perpetuate the conflict in Mindanao.These vigilantes are the offsprings of an occult community in Bukidnon, some of which are settled in the nearby provinces. One is in Lanao del Norte, particularly in the mountain side of Sitio Lumbac, Kolambugan of the province. These vigilantes possess a magic oil which is believed to be a source of power. It is also believed that they are found selling it in the nearby town of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.Some said that the Shepherds is not a grabber of lands; yet these occult members extract taxes in a form of the farm produce from every farmer in the place where they are settling.One farmer who is a victim of this group is the former baranggay captain of Lumbac, Mr. Pascan. Pascan did not cooperate with the Shepherds to take control over his ancestral land.Today also, while the country is commemorating the death of Benigno Aquino, who died on August 21, 1983, a certain group of rebels shows a tape video where the body of a 10-year- old male child is chopped to pieces. Witnesses said that the “choppers” are vigilantes presumed to be members of the MILF.Hearsays had it that these vigilantes are also the same people responsible in the kidnapping of young women and children, and later these women and children were found dead with their livers, hearts, and kidneys already removed. It was believed that these organs were eaten by these people to revitalize and have more power. Yet, it was made known that these people are afraid to eat food with some blood ingredients, what we called “sampayna” or “dinuguan.”On second thought, these people could have been the responsible ones, the main culprit of organs trafficking in the country
